TinkerMap is an independent project run by one person. This page explains what data it collects, why, and what you can do about it. No ads, no trackers, no selling data.
What is collected
- GitHub profile data — your name, username, avatar, and email, received through GitHub OAuth when you sign in. We never see or store your password.
- Pin location — the coordinates you choose when you drop your pin on the map (from GPS or by tapping the map).
- Profile fields you fill in — bio, city, skill tags, what you're currently building, portfolio and social links, and optional contact info.
What is public
By design, your name, avatar, city, skills, bio, and pin are visible on the map and public profiles — that's the point of the app. Your email and contact notes are private and only you can see them. Don't put anything in public fields you don't want visible.
How it is used
Only to run the app: showing you on the map, helping others find you by skill and area, and rendering your profile. Data is stored in Supabase (hosted infrastructure) and served through this site. No third-party advertising or analytics trackers — only privacy-preserving Vercel Analytics for aggregate traffic counts.
Your control
You can hide your pin from the map in your profile settings at any time. To delete your account and everything tied to it, email minhajnoushad123@gmail.com from the address tied to your account and it will be removed.
Cookies
TinkerMap uses a single session cookie (and matching local storage entry) from Supabase Auth to keep you signed in. No cross-site tracking cookies exist.
